North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey will announce new insurance ratings for two Johnston County fire departments during a trip to Johnston County on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, will announce the new rating for the Micro Volunteer Fire Department at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the fire station at 321 U.S. 301 South, Micro, N.C. 27555.
He will announce the new rating for the Cleveland Fire Department at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the fire station at 9039 Cleveland Road, Clayton, N.C. 27520.
The Micro Volunteer Fire Department and the Cleveland Fire Department recently underwent an inspection by the Office of State Fire Marshal. A fire department’s rating affects homeowners’ and business insurance premiums and helps signal how prepared firefighters are at responding to calls and battle blazes in their fire districts.
