North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey will announce new insurance ratings for Cramerton, McAdenville and China Grove during a visit to Gaston, Rowan and Cabarrus counties on Friday, Sept. 10.
The Cramerton Fire Department, which provides fire protection for both Cramerton and McAdenville, will learn of its new rating when Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, stops by the station Friday morning. The China Grove Fire Department will learn its new rating during an afternoon stop.
Both the Cramerton and China Grove fire departments recently underwent inspections by the Office of State Fire Marshal. A fire department’s rating affects homeowners’ and business insurance premiums and helps signal how prepared firefighters are at responding to calls and battling blazes in their respective districts.
In between announcing the new fire ratings, Commissioner Causey will meet with bail bond agents and speak to the 2021 N.C. Bail Agents Association Annual Conference at the Hilton Garden Inn in Concord. Commissioner Causey will visit with agents at 12:15 p.m. and then speak at the 1 p.m. session.
The N.C. Department of Insurance regulates bail bond agents in the state.
