Garner Fire Department to learn new insurance rating tonight at 7 p.m. UPDATED

(Note: Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey was originally scheduled to present this rating. He will be unable to attend. However, the Office of State Fire Marshal will still present the new rating this evening.)

The Department of Insurance and Office of State Fire Marshal will announce a new insurance rating at the Garner Fire Department tonight.

Garner firefighters will learn their new rating at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Garner Fire Department, 900 Seventh Ave., Garner, N.C. 27529.

The department recently underwent an inspection by the Office of State Fire Marshal. A fire department’s rating affects homeowners and business insurance premiums and helps signal how prepared firefighters are at responding to calls and battling blazes in their fire district.
